POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: FES Recess Monitor (Anticipated Vacancy)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in working with children.
- Meet minimum health standards as directed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To help create a safe recess experience for the students of Fairview Elementary.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise students during designated recess times and areas both inside and outside of Fairview Elementary School.
- Ensure a safe and fun environment for students to play and socialize.
- Manage outside recess equipment, set-up, clean-up, and maintenance.
- Communicate to teachers any behaviors that disrupt the rules for recess or cause an unsafe environment.
- Ensure that various processes/procedures are established and maintained which will ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Maintain a high degree of positivity and enthusiasm for the job.
- Report and/or update the principal or teachers on issues or problems related to job duties.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the principal.
HOURS: 3.5 hours per day – 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Support Staff class C employees may work this job in conjunction with another Fairview School District position provided the schedule allows for the time noted above (4.5 hours from 9:30 to 2:00) and the total time worked in any week does not equal or exceed 30 hours including any time worked in addition to the normal scheduled hours.
SALARY: $17.29 per hour
