POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

TITLE:            Cafeteria Helper – Floating Position

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1. Minimum experience in area to be covered

2. Experience in institutional cooking preferred.

3. Meet minimum health standards as directed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

 

REPORTS TO:           Cafeteria Manager or Designee

 

JOB GOAL:               To perform those duties required to meet the Cafeteria Manager’s plan

 

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

  1. Prepare and serve foods as directed by the Cafeteria Manager, help in the dish room and clean tables.
  2. Report daily the items used to Cafeteria Manager and coordinate requirements of left-over foods.
  3. Learn to operate cash register and dishwasher, and serve on lunch line.
  4. Maintain proper cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and areas used in the performance of assigned duties.
  5. Notify Cafeteria Manager of any equipment failures.
  6. Maintain an aura of congeniality within the department, with all other district employees, students, and persons using district facilities.
  7. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

 

HOURS:         5.0 hours per day – Start/End time range of 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 

                     Expected Schedule 9:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

 

SALARY:       $16.09 per hour

Schedule:

Support Staff class C employees may work this job in conjunction with another Fairview School District position provided the schedule allows for the time noted above (5.0 hours between 8:00 to 2:30) and the total time worked in any week does not equal or exceed 30 hours including any time worked in addition to the normal scheduled hours.
